Road to Ravello
We are eternally grateful to everyone making the journey to Ravello to help us celebrate this next chapter in our lives. While it’s the most beautiful place we’ve ever been, it is not lost on us that it is quite a journey to get there, so it means the world to us that you’re joining us for this unforgettable moment.
Please consider the below recommendations for your trip.
Buon Viaggio! xoxo
Getting There
United States >> Naples >> Ravello
For the most convenient route to Ravello, we recommend flying into Naples International Airport.
Naples is about a 1 hour drive from Ravello, making this the closest airport to fly into from the US. Once you land in Naples, we recommend booking a private transfer from the Naples airport directly to Ravello.
The streets are windy, narrow, and tricky to navigate especially in the summertime, so for the most enjoyable experience, we highly recommend booking a car service in advance so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the views once you land. The cost can range, so we recommend joining with a group traveling at the same time to minimize cost per person.
Ravello is a walking city, with cars needing to be parked on the outskirts of the town, making parking a bit challenging, so private transfers will be best for a stress free experience! Below are options for transfers:
Alternatively, ferries are an option when getting around the Amalfi coast. Amalfi is the closest port to Ravello, so any pickup or drop off points should be scheduled for Amalfi. It will then be a 10-15 minute drive (by taxi or car service) to Ravello from the Amalfi port. You can ferry between Naples, Positano, Capri, Amalfi and more, so if you’d rather travel by boat, you can find ferry routes and book your tickets below. *Please note, if you’re planning on ferrying from Naples to Amalfi, it will be a 10 min taxi ride from Naples International airport to the Naples port as well.
Where to Stay
We recommend booking accommodations as soon as you know you’re coming! Ravello is a small town and known for being a hot spot in the summer, so we encourage you to plan early with the below tips in mind, and let us know where you’ll be :)
Ravello is a charming, cobblestoned town that sits in the mountains, overlooking the Amalfi coast. The whole town is walkable, but expect some inclines and steps around town (that will help to work off the pasta & wine while we’re there), as cars aren’t allowed in the city center.
We highly recommend staying in the town of Ravello instead of any other city along the Amalfi coast.
While on a map, the different cities seem close together, summertime travels and windy roads make them much further apart than they seem. Staying in Ravello will give you the best small-town Italy experience, and it will be the most convenient to stay, enjoy, explore, and walk home after some long nights of celebrating.
Ravello has all types of accommodations - from three and four star hotels, to Airbnbs and villas, to luxury stays - so there’s something for everyone! Expect authentic coastal Italian vibes, amazing views, and great food all around you.
